Honestly, Leo and Lex should break 4 next year unless Leo is beyond ready. I’m thinking Kipyego and Bergen will do it also. Aaron, I’m pretty sure has a good shot. So around 4-6 I expect next year.

Youngs and Sahlman should all be able to do it since they all train together day to day and they will all be seniors and it will be their last chance to do it in HS.
Rocky Hansen is very close and he got another year to do it so he should be able to.
Everyone else needs to put in a lot of work to do it.
L & L probably will, as will Aaron. Rocky, Tyrone, and Chris Caudillo probably will too. Honestly, I think there will be 8-10 sub-4 high schoolers next year. Who would have said that Simeon Birnbaum would be a sub-4 runner last year? We might even see 1 more sub-4 this season, considering there are still multiple national meets to go.

There are many that could do it this year actually. A Sahlman, Lex Young, Rocky Hansen, and some that just went 4-flat at Brooke. Devan Kipyego, Zane Bergen, and James Donahue. Sad that Leo is done for the season.

Some of them are done for this season. I think the best last chance for sub 4s is New Balance. Assuming the weather cooperates look at the names in the top section: Singleton, Hough, Hansen, Donahue, Kipyego, Langon, Caudillo, Reilly, C. Sherry & Gary Martin. There are a few others, including Emanuel Galdino from Texas. He could be the surprise of this field. His mile best is 4:06.4. But his back story is really interesting.
"Coming to the United States was hard, but the community was so welcoming," Stratford HS athlete Emanuel Galdino has a story full of triumph and he's ready to show the world.

The Youngs, Sahlman and Hansen don’t put in a lot of work? I thought the NP kids train like pros.
