Fair question. I just take it as any athlete (National Champion) that goes to another school while still having collegiate eligibility. All American grad transfers are definitely more likely than athletes simply leaving/entering portal.

Mark Minichello, from Penn, won the javelin and will be doing a graduate transfer next year.

Jalen Hurts went to Oklahoma after winning a national championship with Alabama in 2017.

It will be interesting to see where Jacobs goes, lots of teams interested in getting a guy who is almost guaranteed top 5 in XC with a shot to win. If Stanford gets him it's over for NAU

Jan Johnson won the 1970 NCAA pole vault for Kansas and then transferred to Alabama.

Looks like he will be going to UT, how many more pieces do they need to be in the 5-20 range at NCAAs. Looks like they should be a lock for NCAAs with Romo out of Ole Miss

And more recently Olivia Gruver finished college career at Washington after consecutive NCAA titles for Kentucky in ‘17 and ‘18.
