I injured my knee six months ago. I couldn’t run on it without pain and without my leg collapsing. At the time I was running 50 miles a week and in decent shape. I’ve basically spent the last six months doing nothing, allowing the knee to heal. Now that it’s healed, I’d like to start running again, but I’ve put on weight and have lost all my fitness. I’m basically at square one. I guess my question is this: What should I have done when I injured my knee, so that I could get back to my previous shape in the quickest time?
