Hicks had a bloody nose because when Dylan Jacobs went down he clipped his face with his arm. In the NCAA thread someone said that Nur hit him with his foot but that isn’t what happened.
ESPN2 couldn’t be bothered to provide 30 minutes of track & field coverage without interjecting 5 commercial breaks. There was a tie-up and nasty fall during one of the breaks.
As of the 17:40 mark in the race he’s clean. Race comes back into coverage around 22:10 in and he’s got a mouth full of blood. The announcers said he fell and got a face full of spike but there is no replay of the actual fall.

Correction looks like he got elbowed in the face during a fall or near miss by the runners around him. Still wish we could see the video
Sounds like just a nose bleed from his interview. He said he is prone to nose bleeds but never had one in a race before. Did well to come 6th and finish. Tough dude.
