Can anyone tell us what actually happened? I watched the whole race on espn 2 and I genuinely don’t know.
Kioko had a lead then a return from commercial and it was packed up with Hicks bleeding. Other threads are saying Nur fell at some point? Possibly Jacobs too? His left shoulder/back when celebrating looked red with track rash.

Jacobs said he stepped on the rail and the splits showed he lost about 1 second on a lap around 3000 m or so. Did Hicks catch an elbow?
Not surprising to me. Dylan certainly had what it takes to win this. It was just that all the media & focus were wrongly on Nur. Dylan deserved this and am glad he showed who's the true #1.

I watched his win at ACC's and I was impressed with how strong he looked, turning the screw until he dropped Wildschutt who is a very strong runner in his own right. Always good to see a Footlocker champion continuing to progress and win titles in college.
I'm thinking it would've been smarter for Nico Young to run the 10,000 instead of the 5,000. Nur didn't look great and Young likely would've beaten him on a good day. If anyone was to take down Nur, I thought it would've been Kioko, but he didn't do very well either.
True soph Cole Sprout in 4th! Great to see his continued progression as well.
