We have a runner on our team who ran 1:00.54 in the 400m last year (she’s now in 8th grade). Over the last year she hasn’t been able to attend practice as much as usual but from now on she’ll be able to train regularly. Recently she ran a 1:00.57 and wants to know if she’d be able to break 60 seconds within the next couple of months with the right training.
according to this board the only way to improve that much without eating burritos is to wear cheaterfly shoes. so if she does break 60 we'll all know why
