Note - Strong in this post refers to level of competitiveness as compared to theoretical limitations on the event by humans and is evaluated primarily using World Athletics Scoring Tables. I am not insinuating that any event is weak in the sense of it not being hard or athletes who choose it are weak.
I was primarily interested in depth of each event so, I used a "find" feature to count how many times each event appeared in the top 100 performances list for each gender. There are other ways to evaluate this, but this seemed the most efficient to me.

The main pattern I noticed was that the throwing events seem to be lacking depth right now. Obviously the best (like Crouser) are on another level, but there seems to be a lack of depth.
