This new sponsorship struck me as pretty odd/out of the blue. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mean to undersell Conley’s accomplishments as a 2 time olympian + member of at least one world team i can think of, but she doesn’t seem to be a huge factor at moment. Her lifetime 5,000m pr, arguably her best event, is above 15:00. Conley was with New Balance most of her career, and im guessing they didn’t renew her contract because she hasn’t really been near the top for about 5 years now.
