Friday night at Penn, the On team of Ollie Hoare, Jonas Raess, Geordie Beamish, and Joe Klecker is trying to break the 4x mile world best of 15:49.08 from an Irish team way back in 1985.
We're going to have a prediction contest to celebrate. We did this last week for the 4x mile record attempt at Oregon Relays, but we're upping our game in terms of prizes. On partnered with us last year, so we still have some On product to give away. Free pair of On shoes of your choice and a LetsRun shirt to the person who comes closest to the winning time.
If the world record is actually broken we'll give away two pairs of On shoes, one to the person closest above the actual time and one closest below the actual time.
Update: Geordie Beamish and Raess are no long on On team and have been replaced by Ben Flangan and Tom Elmer
Stats below from poster Habs
AC:

Elmer 3:55.27c (4:16.99c / 8:04 3K this year)
Klecker 3:54.36c
Hoare 3:49.67c
Sum of converted PRs: 15:37.05 (becomes 15:46 if Elmer runs ~4:04)

Hiko Haso 4:04.60 (7:55 3K this year)
Sean Tobin 3:57.00 (7:47 3K this year)
Paul Robinson 3:52.44c (3:56.91c this year)
Andrew Coscoran 3:52.91c

Empire Elite TC:
Luciano Fiore 4:07.95 (1:47 800 this year)
Ben Allen 4:01.59
Eric Holt 3:53.95c (3:57 this year)
Colby Alexander 3:50.74c
Sum of converted PRs: 15:54.23 (becomes 15:46 if Fiore runs ~4:00 which would better match his 800 time)
You must post under a registered name. Also we'd love it if you give out splits for each runner. The tie breaker is who comes closest to predicting the fastest split of the day.
If you think some other team will win (Empire Elite TC with Eric Holt, Colby Alexander, Luciano Fiore, Ben Allen looks 2nd strongest) say so.
Good luck and happy picking.
So for example:15:48.00
Hoare 3:54.5
Raess 3:57.5
Beamish 3:57.5
Klecker 3:58.5
(But after Oregon I don't think they'll get it so my pick is just a place holder. If you want to change your picks just post again and we will only count your last post)
