Wondering theoretically what I can do in Boston on Monday if the weather does prove to be close to ideal...
In Nov. I ran 2:52.25 on a flat, fast course in near perfect conditions, but was holding back a bit and had to take a 90 sec restroom break. My training for Boston has been good, but I wouldn't call it great (40-45 miles a week for 14 weeks, max around 55, 3 20+ mile long runs).
My question is, should I theoretically be able to PR (2:50.55) on Monday? I've studied the course, I've trained on quite a few hills, and I feel great, but I also don't want to blow up...
Obviously I know this isn't really a question with an easy, decisive answer but I figured some Boston course veterans could provide some advice for a newbie.
TIA
