Lost in the hubbub about NP, Mira Costa senior Dalia Frias ran 9:55.50 at Arcadia in the 3200m to take down Alexa Efraimson's record. That comes after her 4:35 mile at APU on 3/26. Definitely deserves some recognition.

Yep, missed that also. Thanks.
Amazing race. She ran away with it and pushed it out there solo.
She is very impressive. Smooth stride, looks effortless.... Got boxed in on the first lap and that probably cost her a couple of seconds. Her comeback to beat Englehart in the MOC mile showed she has really good speed.
Duke should count their blessings. Shes a real talent. And interesting she said after the race that she probably wouldnt have even entered into the 3200 if she hadnt run a 9:59 a few weeks before, something she never thought she was capable of until she did it. Cant wait to see her and Engelhardt clash again in States. Can they both go sub 4:35 head to head?
Frias playing superhero again over the weekend at the Oregon Relays in a truly electric moment bringing Mira Costa all the way back from 6th place to capture the win and the current #1 time this year in the DMR in 11:43.80. She was 14 seconds behind first place when she got the baton for the final mile and split a 4:38 to kick down every team in front of her including a very fast Buchanan team by just over a second at the tape. Exciting to watch!

I saw that - she ran a very disciplined leg despite the huge gap, something like 70, 70, 70, 68. 4:42 I think the day prior to win the mile.
