Anybody used Meet Pro Software for running a track meet? How does it compare with Hytek? Is Meet Pro relatively easy to use compared to Hytek? Anything else I need to know about Meet Pro?
P.S. I'm organizing a school meet for about 250 athletes with two genders, three categories per gender, no multis.

Bumping back up to the top because I need an answer. Anyone?

In my opinion MeetPro is the way to go. It's totally worth the $200/year. We've been using MeetPro for the last two years for timing a few high school meets and it is very easy to use, though like anything else there is a learning curve, so set aside some time (a couple of evenings) to play with it, learn how to seed a meet etc (presuming you are downloading meet entries from a website like Milesplit or DirectAthletics). You can manually enter the meet entries too, that's just not how we do things for high school. The documentation is pretty simple so you really need to work through it to learn all the nuances. It integrates well with FinishLynx and the ability to pull in results from Lynx and score and publish results to their free live results hosting is a killer feature. We posted live results using a cell phone hotspot for our last meet and people loved it, the days of printing results and taping them to the side of the shed are over. To get the FinishLynx integration and live results publishing with Hytek will cost you a lot more, and it is harder to use. It seems like many colleges are using MeetPro and I'm seeing more and more high school meets using it now.
One more thing I'll add is I haven't used MeetPro with multiple categories per gender as I've only timed high school and middle school meets, but I'm pretty sure it can handle it. You can download a free trial version of MeetPro so you can try it out and see if it meets your needs.
