Go GDS! Makes me an even bigger fan of her. Seems like she has way more personality than the other BTC people and also she actually likes to race. Hopefully we'll see her on the track more often now.

JK here it is.
It is with mixed emotions that I am announcing that I have left the Bowerman Track Club. I am extremely grateful for the time that I spent with this incredible team. I learned so much about our sport, and made some amazing friendships that I will cherish for a lifetime. I wish this team nothing but the best in their future. Last summer, a fellow athlete received an anti-doping ban, and this event was deeply upsetting. I have said this publicly before that learning this news in mid-June almost derailed my Olympics. It was a small miracle that I showed up in Tokyo in shape to run sub 4 twice in 48 hours and place 5th. Going into the fall, I did my best to put this event behind me, and focus on all of the positives this group has to offer, as I truly did and do love this team. However this event and its ongoing aftermath continued to be a major distraction and stress for me. For the sake of my athletic performance and mental health, I needed to move on. And so I am excited to have this fresh start back in Canada. I am now working with Trent and Hilary Stellingwerff, based out of Victoria, BC along with the entire Athletics Canada West Hub sport science and medicine staff. I’d like to thank Nike for being supportive through this difficult time and for their continued support through Eugene and beyond. My focus continues to be on putting myself in the best possible position ahead of this year’s Outdoor World Championships in Eugene. I will be answering some questions to various interested media outlets in the immediate aftermath of this announcement, but following that I will not be discussing the details of this move further, instead focusing on my exciting move and future. If you would like to learn more details, feel free to search for those articles in the coming days, but beyond that, I ask that you please respect my privacy. Thank you for your support. ❤️
So she's leaving her sister -- who just joined -- behind? I respect that she's speaking out about this, but it seems that last year right after it happened -- and before her sister joined -- would have been a better time.
This makes zero sense to me. She just had a great indoor season. This actually just makes it seem like JS and Nike team are doping their athletes and it’s not just Shelby.

Typical Let's run response from someone who knows nothing.
Why now, and why not right after it happened? Were the contract reasons, or did she suddenly grow a spine?
Probably contract reasons, genius. Also, you can't just make a snap decision and cut off a coach that she committed to. She probably tried to understand the situation from his POV. Probably weighed pros and cons. At least she left! At least she pulled the trigger on it! I think it's harder when you're on the inside than you'd imagine. Everyone else is defending Shelby.

Her sister is probably close behind in the leaving process.

My read is she is pissed they didn't tell her about the positive test til June instead of earlier in 21. Feels like they were hiding it in order to make sure it didn't jeopardize her recruiting/starting with them.

If she really meant it, she wouldn't have wait a year.
It would have been better if she just said she was moving to BC. End. Instead she is implying everyone should leave BTC, or ...? Silly. How many of Salazar's NOP athletes left before it was shut down? How many of those Ex-NOP runners get banned? Rupp, Centro, etc.?

Staying or leaving won't effect her at all. What effect did NOP getting shut down have on their ex-athletes who stay? It seems they still ran in the Olympics.

Sure, your solution is for everyone to leave BTC. That is obvious. She is leaving for a more significant reason which has nothing to do with Burro Shelby. That is just an excuse.
