When I ran my mile PR I weighed 130 lbs (I'm 5'3"). Now I'm 135/136 lbs and based on my recent 1500m time I'm 5 seconds off my mile PR although it was only my first 1500 of the season. I think I can beat that time, too, if I have a good day.
I have no idea why I'm gained weight after being pretty consistent at 130, I'm not eating much differently. I only feel really slow when I'm doing 200m repeats (speed is not my strength), everything else I feel pretty strong (400m, 1000s, 1500m races).
Is this extra weight slowing me down? Should I try to get to 130 again?
