I was looking for her result as well. Probably not a good sign. Odd thing was her name didn't even appear in the search bar. I would have thought it would at least show a DNF. Hope she's ok.
Officially a DNS.
#217 Allie Kieffer USA.
Saw her just behind Lindsay Flanagan on the starting line in the TV broadcast. Nothing on social media since… waiting for a race update.
Alexis Pappas and Allie K. should never be referred to as "elite" ever again.
Let me write the Instagram post.
“Devastated. After a great build, some of the best training I’ve ever had, and creating some great content… err… friendships, I just couldn’t do it. Pain in my (insert something about foot/leg) just got worse and worse and eventually I just couldn’t go on. Time to reassess, and try and get healthy. Taking a break from social media for a while, but don’t worry, once I decide I have nothing else to do with my life, I’ll start posting pictures of training again and promise you another disappoint. Thanks to all the brave fans I have out there. Love you all. I’ll be back to half decent running soon.”
She just sets it up and drops out every time. Finishing a marathon at this point, would be the biggest shocker of them all. Hope she’s healthy and ok. Wish her nothing but the best, but the track record is kind of sad at this point.
Cut paste copy that….great template for all the kids out there.
Pretty sure Rory Linkletter & Parker Stinson have been taking notes from this too
She has now posted on her Instagram. Part of the blame was placed on running on cobblestones. She also missed a couple of water stops. Planning on track races now.
Agree. Allie is just not a marathoner. Maybe more competitive as 1/2 marathoner.
Post whatever you want, but “wish her nothing but the best”? Really incongruous and not credible.
Huh?
It is hard to see someone truly wishing the athlete well, but also having written the rest of the post, which was a bit mocking and harsh. Which is fine, she’s a public sports figure, subject to criticism, etc, but it comes off like NOT a fan or supporter, but as kind of rooting against her. Which is fine too. But wishing her nothing but the best- Idk- if that’s your true impulse, you probably wouldn’t have written all the other stuff.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
