Looking for advice on going sub 2:40 in my next marathon.
I recently ran my first marathon in 2:47:51 - this was based on running an average of 48miles/week in the 12 weeks before race week.
During training, I ran x4 long runs over 20miles and managed one weekly workout (typically HMP/10k pace intervals). Most of my long runs also involved running a decent amount at goal marathon pace.
Based on that, what would I need to do to stand a chance of running sub 2:40 in my next marathon?
