I've scoured the internet (granted I might not be good at it) but can anyone post some times from the Newbury kids when they were in 7th, 8th, 9th grade? Cross country and track, it seems that every year they have these up and coming sophomores that seemingly come from nowhere.
I can't find times for any of their guys as freshmen in xc or earlier, and only a handful of track times.
Also I'm not just interested in the Young's and Salhmans, I'd like to see results for all of their guys.

Great thanks, yeah I'm from the southeast, so our lockdowns weren't like Cali at all. Also we don't use alot of Athletic.net.
I'm just trying to understand what sort of leaps and jumps they are making year over year compared to other athletes/programs.

So what did these guys run as 8th graders, to then being sub 4:20 guys as freshman?

So are these kids being coached by Brosnan then too, starting in 7th grade? those are all really good 8th grade times too, anyone have 7th grade times for them?

This shows what an amazing job they do getting improvement on their athletes every year. It's just amazing and unheard of to get HS kids to run at the level they are running by their Junior or Senior year.

Really? Do you not know how fast 8th graders usually run? Those times are VERY fast! Also, keep in mind these are the Young/Sahlman families’ times. There are several other kids on the team who actually ran faster in 8th grade who have not improved nearly as much.

I agree here, I have several friends that I'm very close with to this day who all ran sub 5 minutes in 8th grade, the best any of them ever did in the 1600 even through college was 4:11

So, all of these kids outside of the Youngs/Salhmans were running for different "clubs". I'm not familiar with how this works so if someone can share that is appreciated. Newbury is not a big place, so what are the odds that all of these clubs exist within the same school district which is Newbury? It would seem there has to be some level of recruiting taking places to get all these kids at the same school? Please correct me if I'm way off base.
