I'm a 4:02 miller and an 8:50 2 mile runner. I just ran the 800 one time at 1:56 last year (splits 60/56) and I have no experience.
This year in my base for 1500 indoors I've done some fast workouts like:
3 x 500 69.5 average with 3 min rest in a very windy and rainy day;
I've done multiple times at the end of workouts 68” 500, 52.0 400 or 38.0 300
Ps: I'm not doing a lot of speed work yet, just 1500/3k pace and once in a while 800m pace at the end.
Do you think I have a shot in the outdoor season?
Any 800 advice would be welcomed
