Well, under our scruffy hipster beards, we are kind of sensible creatures.

I always found the super over the top positivity vibe to be a bit much.

If you beat him, he might be better off following you to see what training you did, that allowed you to beat him. Unfollowing you seems petty, but understandable. He's probably pissed off you beat him and may have taken your congratulatory comment as an insincere attempt to run his nose in the loss. You might have given him the spark to up his game and beat you next time, by running on pure hate. A rivalry is born.

So much of the ultra community social media is trash. It’s a bunch of overly positive posts mixed with constant sponsorship plugs. I unfollowed most all ultra athletes except for people like kilian/Francois who don’t have ad posts every day

This complaint is so vague as to be meaningless. Your assertion is that there is a cause-and-effect between the beating and the blocking. That seems super unlikely, but I suppose it's possible. Perhaps if you gave more details, this would be more believable.

What race? Who did you beat? What led to this? You don't get blocked for beating people, you get blocked for being annoying or toxic.

Is it possible that you aren’t wearing a trucker hat in your IG posts? How long is your beard? How many gels can your shorts elastic hold? Do you run with collapsible poles? These are all things to consider as possible offenses.
