Is this a viable strategy?: Currently at 6 feet tall, I stand at 165 lbs with a goal of hitting 150-153 nine weeks from now to be ready for important outdoor track meets. My issue has been binging wildly on the weekends after eating at a 500 calorie deficit throughout the week. I think an underperformance during indoor or the first few workouts will spark the inspiration I need to not overeat, but will a 500 calories deficit alone for nine weeks get me down enough? I run about 60 mpw and lift 3 days per week, eating 2500 mostly healthy calories on a regular week day as a current strategy. I know I have weight to lose but also don't want to burn out during my final track season.
