In the tactical races he is very dangerous, but as we have seen he does not have the exceptional kick in the fast paced races (such as recent 3:50 mile, or the Tokyo 1500 final)
agreed. he was looking over his shoulder and he saved himself for the 1500. he will Be in the mix at worlds
Do you think Hocker - in the 3000m - potentially can beat Aregawi, Girma, Barega, Mechaal, Balew and Krop who have all run much faster this year? (I suppose Girma will win the 3000m over all obtaining a wild card to the Worlds).
Will Hocker run the 3000m at all at the Worlds (indoor)? The 3000m final is at noon and the 1500m final is in the same day´s afternoon!
He might also meet Jakob who could choose to run the 3000m.
But, last year, Cooper was uut kicking him early in the indoors but then Cole found another gear. If he repeats that this year, he should be blazing at the World Indoors.

Once again, show me a fast paced race where Hocker outkicked Teare. I am not knocking Hocker, but in both times the 2 of them ran 3:50, Hocker could not overcome Teare's small lead. In the 3000 and 5000 in which he did, they were pretty slow paced races with big kicks by both - just a little bigger by Hocker. In Tokyo - a very fast paced race - Hocker last 300 was about average in the field as I recall - not bad, but he didn't overtake many. He is certainly not slow with his kick - but the huge kicks have come off pretty slow paced races.
So Tokyo was a slow, tactical race? How many 20 year olds have run that fast? He proved he can compete with the world’s best, not only in the finals with a 6th place finish in the fastest 1500 in Olympic history, but also by getting through the competitive rounds. Foolish comment.

I did not say that - I said
