he needs to stop doing these profile pieces. Last year NBC did a profile piece of him fishing then he gets DFL in the 800 (ok I know he was hurt) and then today they do another one of him and he gets DQ'd
Equally as ridiculous though. It's not even clear he steps on (and he certainly never steps over) the line in that footage -- and if he did, the new rules specifically should allow this as it didn't impede anyone or allow a material advantage.

Also, why do the results (currently) show him as "DNS" and not "DQ"?
OK I get it. Didn't even know he was in the 400.
Why didn't he run the 800 now? I'm sure there is some equally obvious answer..
These meets just suck. Why do they even have this the week of conf champs? Just to MAKE DARN SURE no NCAA athletes considers running? I mean...what? What sense does this make?

The NCAA is at fault. What is more prestigious, competing at a global championship or for points for a school championship? It's ridiculous that collegiate athletes will not get the chance to go to indoor worlds simply because of the constant idiotic management of the NCAA system that runs college athletes into the ground impacting their ability to qualify for and do well at global events.

kids make a choice and these schools invest A LOT in them. if they want to be pros, nobody is stopping them.
Without the ncaa system, American track and field would be in a far worse position than it currently is.

No way. They could stage this meet any weekend. You'd think they would want to accommodate a group of the best athletes? But no, we'll just leave them at home...

Appeal denied. Bad call for the officials. His foot never touched the line anywhere on the track. Shame he won’t be in the final.
