So in the first week of january this year, i bought a new brooks adrenaline gts 21 pair, at 140 euros.
I dont think i noticed at first (although im not quite sure anymore) but after 2-3 weeks of running about 2 times a week, my right shoe felt like the inner sole has become loose.
Since im no expert on this topic, I went to the place i bought them from and asked them. As they removed the sole and showed me that you can just take them out, i felt pretty stupid. They pretty much instantly came up with the idea of double sided tape to fix the inner sole to the shoe. I did not decline the offer, although i felt kinda bad because its a near new shoe and if i have to use double sided tape to fix it, id rather just have a new one.
Anyways, the taped the inner sole, let me test run, but the problem still persisted. The tape didnt change anything, because the inner sole your feet rested on did not seem to be the problem. So we couldnt reach a satisfying solution and concluded i would come again next week because they had to close.
Now i wanted to reach out and ask if there would be reason to suspect the shoe of being faulty in a way, which is my guess. The feeling is like when you walk on fresh snow on a hard surface thats not completely compacted yet, it feels like a small sliding motion with micro stutters. Almost like a vibration while you go back and forth. I dont know if i can describe it any better. But i spent a lot of money on those shoes, my last running shoes lasted me for about 4 years of active running and i used them until i regularly got blisters on my toes. So i dont want to get new shoes after half a year or something, because the sliding and vibration gets out of hand. and it has gotten slighty worse already.
I dont know if the store would just exchange them and i honestly dont believe they would be happy about it, but maybe somebody was in a similar situation or knows what im talking about, and could share some insight or advice.
thank you
