Does anyone have any info on how the 2022 vaccine check will look for Boston? The only thing posted so far is that proof will be required prior to bib pickup. Assuming this means some type of virtual verification?
For last year's Marathon you had to go into a tent outside the Heinz convention center and show your certificate of vaccination before going in to pick up your bib that's where you received the rest bracelet showing you were checked.

Last year, a month or so before the race, we got an email from BAA asking everyone to sign up for a day/time to come by the COViD tent outside the expo to get either a vaccine check or test. They had signup slots in 15 minute increments each day. I got there a few minutes after my window and was worried I would have to wait in a huge line. There were literally 5 other participants in this huge tent filled with volunteers. It took 2 minutes and would have been shorter if I had remembered which album on my phone I had saved my vax card.
I have a feeling they may allow/encourage you to upload an image of your card this year prior to race weekend to save themselves the hassle of a large, in person vax check.
Most places in the USA have been open, lockdowns ended, kids in school and no vaccine passports for a year and a half. That's most places, at least. There are a few hardcore Democrat/Liberal states where they are continuing with futile and oppressive policies.
Boston, Massachusetts happens to be one of the holdouts. Although I prefer to live in a free state, which I do, where I'm not harassed in this way, I'm still running Boston since I qualified and I'm vaccinated.
P.S. Based on the email B.A.A. sent out today, it seems to hint there's going to be a way to provide proof of vaccination ahead of time, although they didn't explicitly state it. Since they have the time, it only makes sense that they'd allow you to send proof electronically, ahead of time, so that the expo can function more quickly and efficiently by reducing the amount of verification needed to be done close to race time.
The BAA indicated we would receive an email last month about how to submit proof of vax, but the email still hasn’t come. Since Boston (and nearly every other city) is dropping its proof of vax mandate and masking requirements, I’m wondering if the Boston Marathon is reconsidering its vax policy at this point.

Email incoming tomorrow, still all good on the vaccine front so the losers won't be in attendance.

It's August 2022 and they are still mandating the jab. I just got an email for their half marathon. Vaccine required. They aren't following the science since they say you need one every 9 months to be up to date. So Boston, mandate the Booster or drop all the requirements.
Is it true that UK don't have fluoride in the water and toothpaste is hard to come by ?
No dentists either.
I went to a dentist once in London. He said “I see your teeth are important to you. What can I do for you?” Like he had never had anyone come in when they weren’t in agonizing pain. He then looked at my lower teeth, said the tartar build up is doing what it’s supposed to do and that was kind of it. I’m used to a hygienist working on me for 45 minutes and then a lecture about how I need to floss more and then some kind of upsell from the struggling young dentist who just bought into the practice and needs to veneer my teeth to help with his debts.
RE fluoride: about 10% of Britain is fluoridated. Everyone still has horrible teeth, so it’s used by the anti-fluoride crowd to demonstrate that it doesn’t work. I’m glad there are no anti-fluoriders on this forum.
I'm all for vaccine mandates. My question is what will be needed for Boston 2023? I've been vaccinated and had a booster in December 2021. Will I need a other booster close to the race?
I'm 100% for boosters, yearly flu vaccines, and all other recommended vaccinations but want to know. I assume at some point the Covid booster will be like the flu shot, you just get it yearly.

The evidence suggests that the covid vaccine doesn't reduce the spread of the vaccine; at most it lessens the effects of an infection in the vaccinated. So what is the point of a mandate?
