Is there ever a reason to run slower than 10s? I'm by no means a good runner, 48 min 10k etc but what I'm getting at, is as a jogger is there ever a reaon I should go slower than 10s? Things start to feel uncomfortably slow above that but it's hard not to get sucked into the whole MAF thing etc
Do you never run anywhere hilly? Because with a 10k PR as slow as yours, you should definitely be running 10 minute pace up a long moderately steep hill in training. Your 10k is slower than my training pace on flat ground, and I have lots of runs near my house where I slow to 11 or 12 minutes per mile on some of the uphills.
