I bought a HR10, used it for less than a year. It started dropping the signal during runs. I changed the battery but then it wouldn't link up to my Apple Watch.
I sent it for service in the country where I live. They said it was corroded inside and implied that it was my fault. They sent it back, saying they cleaned it, but if, it doesn't work I should buy a new one. Sure enough, it was not fixed. They lied to me. It did not connect to any of my Bluetooth devices.
I contacted Global Customer Services via DM on Twitter and they ran me around saying I should send it for service and whatever they say, goes.
I want to give them the benefit of the doubt, but...
I got a lemon of a HRM and a very sour customer service experience. Does anyone here work at Polar or know somebody who might be able to set this right?
I was going to buy a new GPS watching, but have been holding off.
Those Polar watches seem nice, but eh, you're not the only one to complain about them. I had a chance to play around with one at a store a couple months ago, and eh, I didn't like the interface.
FWIW, I'm still running my Garmin Forerunner 15. I'm on my second battery with it and it just works.
I do want a newer watch, but with everything going on, I've really been holding off. I also don't want to buy into something that has apps or anything complex, which is the reason I've been holding onto my 15 for so damn long.

I had thought that Polar was a reasonably decent product. Any company can produce a lemon once in a while, but to tell me to just buy a new one? Why would I do that? What are they thinking?
I can say that I've gotten both batteries from Garmin and they seem very helpful. They offered for me to send it in, but both times they just sent me new batteries for a very used watch.
Customer service-wise, Garmin hits it head on for me at least.
I wouldn't have cared to even pay for the batteries, but they offered.
Should have got a Garmin, cheapskate.
You’re like my useless annoying sister in law who bought a Tom Tom. Hahahahahaahaha…..
