I have a pair of NB 1500’s (V5 or V6, I think), and I really like them for track intervals, but there is one problem:

The tongue slides down my foot and bunches up. It doesn’t take long for this to happen either. I bend over and pull the tongue back up between intervals, but I don’t have this problem with any other shoe.

I am considering cutting slots into the tongue so that I can cross the laces through to hold up the tongue. Do any of you have other suggestions?

A couple minutes with a needle and thread, and I’m sure you could anchor it down to one side.

I had a tongue-slipping problem with a shoe years ago and simply returned them. No matter what you do to mod the shoes, the problem will not be fixed.
