That brought back some great memories...
Wow...Eddy H wearing American flag shorts in '87. A preview of things to come. Thanks for sharing!
Wow, I want to look just like Amby Burfoot!
Burfoot looks like alot like Tom Hanks... in Cast Away?
Should I try again to seem somewhat intelligible?
Doesn't Burfoot look a bit like Tom Hanks, particularly as in his "Cast Away" role? Seriously, if he trimmed off some of that wild mane and the guy would be Tom Hanks...
Just writing so this board goes to the top.
great pics! put more links of any older pictures
Thanks for the link. Great shots!
That is an amazing picture of Frank Shorter. He must have like one percent body fat there. sweet
What happened to running? Sorry, I'm a sell-out, but all the 80s guys were way cooler than today's runners... Frank S. looks really great in that photo.
Eddie, #12, Boston 1987
Malmo #40, New Haven 1982:
Hodgie-san #1066, Litchfield 1979
Who can name all of the other runners in that photo besides Ikangaa, Geoff Smith, Steve Jones, Ed Eyestone, Bruce Bickford and maybe Kamau?
Ken Martin behind Eddy?

Tara, it's the sunglasses. If you gotta wear shades to be cool, you're not.
Haha yeah. I'm very in favor of separation of running and premeditated attempts at fashion. You just can?t buy coolness with a nice pair of oakleys.
Cool, and no sign of knee length shorts! ;-)
I feel old now. That was when I just started running and I actually ran a few of those races in the mid-80s.
weird to see all those packs at the front of races and no Kenyans
