I've been able to run 45-50 mpw without issues until this week.
It was colder than usual for a few days but I did my workouts. Did a tempo Tuesday (5 miles), 3 EZ Wed. with no issues and Thursday a steady run for 5 miles or so.
On Friday though I found I was a bit slow at 9:00-9:20 pace for 5 miles, so no big deal, but I just thought it was fatigue. I did a 16-miler yesterday at 8:40 pace and it was achy in my right knee, hip and hamstring. I tried stretching the hamstring out and doing other exercises. Took 400mg of ibuprofen and icy hot--nothing, those are useless!
I did try 3-4 today and got through it but hitting 10:00 to 10:15 was hard. Should I get an MRI to see if there is a muscle tear somewhere?
it's not a stabbing pain, I can run on it, but more of a dull ache in knee and the right hip. Left knee and hip are normal.
I don't even know how I would have hurt it.
