How much mileage can you put on the vaporfly next %’s? And how much of which would be optimal for racing? Could I still use them for tempo runs even if they’re past their prime? Or would the benefit of quicker recovery be useless at that time (obviously the responsiveness would be shot by that point too lol.)
For reference I have 30 miles in them (and probably 70% of that is just from racing). They feel a tad less responsive, but still feel bouncy.
I used my 4%s for a long time. I retired them from racing at around 150 miles. But I used them for tempos for another 350. They definitely did lose their “effect” as the ZoomX compressed and wore down, but I would stay until 250 miles they performed just about as good as they did out of the box, and then after that it was a slow breakdown to 500 miles when I retired them, but even at the end of their life they were still a nice tempo shoe.
