I understand they have to take a year off to do their religious stuff but being 24 is a massive advantage in distance running. You are no where near your peak when you are 20-22. What an embarrassment to see two 24 year olds from BYU take the cross titles.

Is Whitni Orton a joke? She didnt serve a mission and is a normal senior like everyone else. Why did she win the title?
The women have won 5 national titles...they aren't serving missions like the men....

If you whiners spent half as much time training as you do crying on an anonymous message board you might actually make something of your lives. The rest of the world is out doing everything they can to compete internationally while the American pansies are at home lamenting yet again that they’ve missed out on their age group medal.

She’s 24. Did she graduate hs at 20 then?
The 1st 3 MN women all graduated in 2016. Covid was a year off and the other 5 years are normal. Hacker and Pollard are in their 7th years due to Covid.

Not saying it’s anything horrible. I would just be embarrassed to win a collegiate race at 24. I graduated college a month after turning 22. I would have had to have been a 7th year senior to be 24 during XC.
At age 24, I had graduated college, obtained a Master's Degree, and taken a management position in Information Technology.

OP didn't make any claim that would need to be backed up. OP only suggested that runners who have had more training to age 23-24 would be better than younger runners, and that's true. No one would even debate that. If it wasn't true than why don't you see more pro runners between age 18 and 22?
