It's a non carbon plate shoe with a massive drop, only been out a couple months. The best flat adidas ever made was the adizero rocket with a stack height of 23 mm and a 5 mm drop.

Although Adidas is calling it a racing flat, running warehouse has it listed as a neutral trainer. If anyone is looking for an Adidas racing flat that's more traditional, try the RC 3

It´s not a flat. It´s a replacement for the old Adidas Boston.

Adios 6 is a replacement for Boston 9.
Yup and the single new Adidas shoe that doesn't completely suck.
This shoe is excellent. I switched over from the Boston and think it feels great for a wide range of running. It also holds up to a lot of mileage which is more than can be said for a lot of shoes these days.
but the old bostons were great on trails, this adios 6 not so much

What is the new Adizero Adios, then? That was one of the best marathon racers ever in the pre-supershoe era, with Haile and others running WRs in it.
The Adidas Adizero Pro supershoe seems to be the marathon show for Adidas elites right now, but I find it feels like absolute garbage, nothing like the normal Adios and Boston, which were great.

Adios is a training shoe geared to workouts. It got a bit more weight than V5 and yes now Boston has become something else it is its natural replacement. But it wasnt a "flat" even when they used to run marathon WR in them.... their "flat" is the Sen
I loved running in Boston 6 through 8 version 1 when they had Boost in both forefoot and heel. I still have some new in box but cannot wear them due to chronic foot pain due to arthritis in my forefoot. I now need to run in shoes that do not flex at the forefoot such as Hoka shoes or carbon plated shoes from other brands. I will look into surgery but likely will be told to never go back to wearing Boston and Solarglide adidas shoes. I'll have to figure out if I can sell off my stock of size 13 Boston and other adidas shoes. I don't know why adidas used the Boston name on the current Boston shoe when it weighs much more so is not appropriate for use for faster run or races. I still ran my April race in a low mileage pair of Boston 6 shoes. I had not planned to move to carbon racing shoes due to price and stock of like new prior Boston shoes but did find Saucony Endorphin Pro (1st version) on clearance. I ran in the Saucony in the Boston Marathon. I had no foot pain at all during or after the race. My feet may have been the only area I did not hurt during or after the race.
I need an Addidas shoe for workouts, what should I get? Will be mostly for tempo paced running on asphalt, but bonus points if I can do track intervals in them. I'm leaning toward the Boston 10 but it seems kind of heavy compared to other "super trainers", is it a decently fast shoe? Other options would be the SL20.2, Adios 6, Adizero Pro (the original Pro, kind of a dud as a racer but maybe an OK workout shoe?). or wait and see what the Takumi Sen 8 is like. Didn't like the RC3, too firm and not a great upper.

do you sink into the cushion in the new one?
I hate shoes where you sink into the shoe. The Bostons didn't do that but the Adidas super shoes do.

Wrong. That is the Takumi Sen
Whoever made this thread:
A) Does not own the shoe
Or
B) Was paid by some other running company.
Shoe of the year by a metric ton. Just amazing.
I agree

I tried the Sens, and didn't like them. They were way too stiff. Rocket was way better and more responsive.

The second worst shoe I tried in the last 3 years.
Another adidas connoisseur checking in here (I'm actually the guy who started the epic thread begging for the return of the early 2000s-era adizero pro and the adidas designer actually replied a bunch).
I like the adios 6. Nice blend of cushion and firmness--I HATE mushy shoes. I use it for my long runs. I would never use it for anything faster, but I was in my prime in the 90s and 2000s, and a shoe as beefy as the adios 6 is not what I would consider a "flat" for workouts or races.
ONE COMPLAINT: adidas size 13 used to fit me PERFECTLY (hence once of the reasons I begged for the old adizero pro flat). But adidas must have slightly decreased their sizing in the last 10 years, and they don't make larger sizes in their performance shoes. The takumi sens were unwearably small. The adios 6 is also slightly too small, but not unwearable.
I do not have the same problem with size 13 in any other manufacturers, so I know my feet didn't grow ;]
Yes the adidas sizing is .5 size off in some models. This is what fits for me. For Nike and Saucony I wear 12.5
Adizero adios pro : 12.5 (tried 13 and was too big)
Adios pro : 12.5
Boston 10 : 13 (tried 12.5 and was too small)
Adios 6: 13 (tried 12.5 and was too small)
And by the way, the adios 6 is a great shoe.
