Weldon typed up some highlights from their chat with Elkanah last week. It was inspiring to read. 1st marathon good. Next 11 not so good. Marathon #13 at age 38 and he takes down the GOAT.

Great interview
It is slow coming out. Scott Simmons is a fraud. He doesn’t train Kibet. Haron Lagat made his own group because Simmons can not train a cow to find water. Plenty of athletes have now left…Paul Chelimo is back in Kenya to get away from Scott training.. eventually come out Benard Keter changes all his workouts leading up to Olympic trials. Someone ask Leonard Korir who train him for Amsterdam marathon and Olympic trials…he will say not Scott. Ask Augustus Maiyo who train him for Olympic trials marathon and he will say not Scott Simmons.
Next interview…. Ask Paul Chelimo, Emmanuel Bor, Leonard Korir, or Augustus Maiyo if Scott Simmons Train them for their best races or do they do different training. Thanks rojo and let’s run
Rojo
Put on front page. Don’t let Scott Simmons get away with fraud. He takes advantage of talent by saying he coaches athletes he doesn’t. Just wants pay and he found loophole in WCAP program to be paid.
Scott is the biggest scam ! How can he take credit from Haron Lagat. He doesn't even know Kibet's last workout before New York marathon. Our sport doesn't need people like him, who don't have integrity and respect for the sport. I am sure he had to threaten Kibet to lie on the interview! Let's hope this athletes will find freedom one day !
Agree. All the WCAP guys have kicked Simmons to the curb.
Scott tries to shut everyone up to save his job. These athletes need a voice to help set them free. Rojo answer the call! Stop the abuse of power Simmons is doing to these athletes.
I agree
What are you talking about?
1) Elkanah praises Scott for letting him do his own workouts in this build-up.
2) Scott has been successful at every stop on his coaching ladder.
Just because someone might be running better designing their own workouts does not mean the athlete can't respect the coach or that the coach isn't a very good coach.
The Elkanah interview has been on homepage.

Simmons makes his own success and takes others and calls it his own. 100% fraud from what I see. Not to mention taking advantage of the Army through WCAP. Keep an eye out for Sean Ryan too. Strikes me as fraud 2.0. Apparently they both have a habit of taking advantage of the Army…
I also wouldn’t go as far as to give credit to Lagat either, though he was probably a great training partner. Kibet is a self-trained athlete. Apparently he ran his previous best while training in Afghanistan.
Elkanah Kibet is a self-made success.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
