Which marathon is it? Just identify it by name.
Sounds like a really flat marathon if there is less than 100 feet between the start & high point of the course. I would look at total elevation gain on something like Strava. You could have something like that where you are always going up or down & end up with enough net gain to go from flat to moderate. Either way, this looks like something where you don't have to think about the elevation at all.
I would say 500ish feet of total gain is where something goes from pancake flat to moderate. Over 1000 and you're running a pretty challenging course.
