Absolutely marvelous weather. Low 30s to start. No wind. I chopped almost a minute off the PR. Loved the race.

I ran it too. Perfect weather! Was able to PR by about 90 seconds.
I was not a fan of the on-course “Nuun Endurance” drink. It’s basically Crystal Light sugar free lemonade. Too bad they dropped just regular Gatorade (like they had in 2019) in favor of some trendy Nuun drink. This is a marathon, it requires carbs! I only took 4 sips of the stuff on the course and relied on Maurten gels.
That’s my only (minor) complaint. Hard to be negative after running a PR. Glad you had a good race too!
Not a fan of the Nuun either.
Did anyone see the Camerman at the start line get run over. Felt bad for the guy. Just saw him laying on the group with his camera on the ground. I was 20 rows back.
Matt from Sweat Elite ran 220.
Good battle in the men’s HM

He looked pretty shook as I went by him, pretty splayed out. Hope he's alright.
I ran the half and was grateful for the perfect weather. The Nuun water was just okay to be. It also seemed they changed the back half of the 1/2 course with more 90 degree turns. I wonder if that makes it easier for them to block off traffic.
4th place - Mulder
5th place - Fox
According to the race site, the top 3 half women ran 1:06 or faster and the top marathoner ran 2:28 after coming through the 10k in over an hour?

Good to see the press release got it right
I ran the 5k and hit a big PR in 18:16. Had a blast.
Really jealous. Looks like every race post Chicago/Boston has had great weather. Good job to everyone who got it done yesterday. NYC should be great today as well.
I did! Half marathon. Saw the collision happened that I darted right.
Didn’t try nuun. Good thing I didn’t. But they should of have fluids at mile 10.
Ran a 81 second PR. 1:12:xx
I ran the full and knocked 8+ min off my PR...great weather for sure. First time running this race and do plan to come again in the future, maybe next year. I too wasn't wild about the Nuun, later in the race when the fog of the of late miles set in, I couldn't tell the water cups from the nuun and took a nuun by mistake...bleech... otherwise 9/10 day!
Nice job all.
I ran it 3 years ago (half) to knock IN off my state list and enjoyed it thoroughly. I'm a hobby once-in-awhile jogger but liked the tour it provided. Well run and not super congested - it was perfect weather too. Typical?
Indianapolis Monumental Marathon wants to be a big marathon and will keep trending the right direction. Perfect weather weekend in Indiana. They do a great job attracting sub elites. In 2019, they paid $1,000 to everyone who ran an OTQ (source: https://beyondmonumental.org/press_releases/2019-cno-financial-indianapolis-monumental-marathon-and-half-marathon-expects-most-competitive-elite-fields-in-event-history/). I believe 39 people qualified in 2019. The course is very flat and OK crowd support. Everyone I spoke with had a good race. Only a few more years until the race is overcrowded. Get in now.
Great race here. Was able to knock off 4 min PR. Road conditions were less than ideal, water stop tables were just 1 table for too many runners and impossible to navigate, and WAY too many 90 degrees turns, I believe I counted at least 30+ turns.
It seems there was a 6hr marathoner front and center on the start line, he went down hard. I was 2 people back and saw multiple others going down in the first 50 meters, even had to hurdle one person. They do a great job for elite and sub elite runners, but it only takes a few out of place runners to make things dangerous.
Also agree about the 90 degree turns, those were killer right around 8-10 mi.
I know a guy who ran 2:44 and he was so elated--he hadn't PRed in quite some time. I may do it next year, although it being so soon after Cbus (my hometown race) would be challenging due to potential injury risk.
I had a great race. Anything that the elevation map made look like a "hill" was imperceivable. First mile was a congested, didn't get far enough up and nearly collided with that cameraman. Me and the folks I trained with all came in a couple minutes under our goals.
Now if the city could just fix some of the roads and resurface about half of the course. I find myself more and more every time I run it hoping I don't trip on a pot hole.
