Good luck Ben!
Good luck Ben!
Confirmed.
proof?
NYC Marathon press event, he claimed he signed a deal with them.
Does that mean he will be racing in the metaspeed skys? If so... excited.
Back in my day you had to have 100+ miles on the shoes you'd run in, for a marathon. These days, everyone grabs something new the day before. Amazing, that.
I know this much is... TRUE

He definitely just signed a deal with on no negotiation or prior contact, and decided to switch to new shoes 3 days before a marathon.
Definitely.

I'd imagine he just signed this morning, hopefully they can get shoes in his size to him prior to Sunday morning.
Based on what he said, it sounds like he has already been training in Asics, so he probably already has the shoes he needs.
nice. I'm looking forward to watching him on Sunday. Hoping he really shines in the marathon

There is a pic of him training in Asics on his Strava from a week or two ago.

Sorry, sarcasm doesn't really come across on message boards.
It would be interesting how long ago he signed his contract and why they decided to sit on announcing it till now.

Not losing to Jared Ward and Saucony lol
But agree, top shoe at the moment arguably
When Ben runs 2:13 on Sunday which he will no matter what shoes he is wearing. Please do not blame it on the shoes.

Lmao Bens’ a veteran of the sport I’m sure he had time to train in multiple shoes and made his final decision. Not bad, ASICS stands behinds their athletes and have created some solid shoes recently. Cheering for him as top American.

They're not made out of leather anymore ...
If this is true (zing!) then he's effing screwed. Aside from Ryan Hall every distance runner that's signed with Asics has been cursed.
