2:10? Depends if your more a speed or endurance guy.
To average 1:11 per 400 in the 1600 you should be able to average 1:06 per 400 in the 800 if you have good endurance. If you dont have good aerobic endurance then you're probably running the 800 in 2:08

i think im more of a endurance guy, but my speed isnt bad either
2:08-2:15 depending on the type of guy you are
I had a guy last year go 2:01 and only 4:50.
Had a different guy another year go 9:30 with a best 800 of only 2:10
Like 2:08-2:09

Yeah but of course that 9:30 guy is essentially running 2:22.5 four times in a row without stopping so we know that he could dip below 2:10 at his best.

Agree. For those that are not speed or endurance outliers, this is about right in my experience.
A 10% pace slowdown is typical for trained athletes in going from 800 to a mile, so a 285 second 1600 target means you need roughly 285/2*0.9 = 128s or 2’08” for 800.
My best mile (not 1600) was 4:46 and my best half (not 800) was 2:16.
Unless you are a girl, those are JV times. So yes you are bad at speed and endurance.

There are several, some dipping below 4:30.
But that’s irrelevant; everyone runs at their own speed. Mocking someone slower is just bad sportsmanship.

My 800 PR was 2:09, and I ran 4:47 for the 1600. I would say that you are pretty close, as I had little practice racing either of the two distances.

There has been one female in HS distance running history to run sub-4:30.

Not helpful.
As a high school junior I ran 2:07 for 800m and 4:43 for 1600m during my Spring track season. I don’t recall any 5000m times that season (1979).
As a high school senior I ran 1:59 for 800m on a relay and 4:22.5 for 1600m during my Spring track season. I also ran 15:51 for 5000m on the track that season.
