i have one last cross country meet, so i only have one more chance to break 17 mins this season. or at least get really close to low 17 mins. my pr is 17:40 that i ran 3 weeks ago.
i have a meet on friday of this week. is it possible i can low 17 or even break 17 min?

Agreed with other poster, need to see some of your workouts to know for sure.
If your last XC race is this week, there's no amount of work you can put in that'll make you any faster between now and race day.
Best thing to do would be focus on pacing and being mentally prepared for the race. That includes being ready for any tough/dicey spots on the course, being prepared for how you're going to feel after opening in a sub-5:30 mile, and having a strategy to race hard in the second half
Even pacing. Cross country is wild. Everyone sprints out and blows up. If you want to run 17, open up in 5:30 through the first mile. & that means not going out faster than 1:22 through the 1st 400.
The best 5k's have been run with even pacing. Don't worry about everyone around you. By 2 miles, you'll be gliding past people.
