I ran sub 3 hours last week on 75miles , training mainly easy runs, lactate threshold intervals and 800s reps at 5-10k pace.
Never ran M pace during the training
I'm looking to train for sub 2:45. Friends say not possible without marathon pace training.
Anyone managed to run sub 2 45 without marathon pace training?
On the other hand, Lydiard described 2 sessions Monday and Friday sub threshold runs. How's this possible to run marathon pace twice a week?
