Chances are he could do better but then they’d steal his user name and Jamin doesn’t want that.

the group is going nuts over Fisher running 2:14 high. Do they realize it is slower than the women's WR?

I think it’s pretty great for a first real effort but just can’t get over the history there.
One of the best high school coaches of the last decade, but you think you know more.
2:14 in those conditions is equivalent to 2:11-12, and he was running on his own much of the way apparently. If that's a debut, it is very high quality historically among American marathoners. If you don't think so, look it up.
Compare to a random video of Renato Canova stream-of-consciousness analyses of a marathon

Irony.

This.
I know people bag on Tinman but that 2:14 is a time I'd kill for. LOL!

Safe to say she's probably forgotten more about running than you'll ever know.
I agree she is clueless. She hired Tinman to coach Drew because she didn't know what to do. Now that Drew is a pro just 5 years later, she knows more than Tinman?
I disagree that Reed's time was impressive. He's BARELY beating no-name Americans that have real full time jobs. He beat Wilkerson Given by 14 seconds. Who is he? He beat Zach Panning by 20 seconds. Again, who?

Just because I don't drop 5-syllable scientific words in discussions about running doesn't mean I have no idea what I'm talking about

He also has a full time job. He finished top 10 in a major marathon. Sorry to break it to you negative nanny but that’s a good run. Looks like their new coach is having a nice start. Good for them all.

He’s saving lives in the ER 10 hours a day; he’s break long rocks by hand down at the quarry ..?!
No one cares about this guy who wears a stolen iconic name of his former coach.
Never buying anything from adidas ..look in the mirror Drew.

Zach Panning is a 28:01 10K guy and appears to be the best male on Hanson's current roster. He had a pretty good negative split after his Hanson's teammates fell back. I think he had the most promising result among the American men, next to Rupp.
Wilkerson Given is a 30 year old with a PR of 2:11:44.
it amazes me how canova just goes on and on in a 2nd/3rd/ 4th whatever language English is for him. Still a steel trap after all these years.

No one said you have to. But you've been told in one syllable easy to understand unscientific words how to go about your training yet you've chosen to ignore that advice.
