35k split projected a time of 2:41. Finishing time of 2:41 has come and gone and still no 40k split appearing for Flanagan.
It appears she has dropped out.
LRC note. We changed the title of the thread. The OP thought she dropped out.

You are a literal idiot; her 40k time just posted on the tracker because she is not running in the elite group.

And her new projected time is faster than Jordan Hasay's

it appears that 'epic fale' is actually the epic fail.
Idiot.
Might be the best of the bunch after a 2:46 in the heat yesterday. Really solid. Also the people bashing Hasay need to chill. I'm rooting for her & hope she gets back to her form from a few years ago. Today was a tough day for running. She was already dropped but hit halfway in 1:17 & had to run by herself the whole way. Flanagan opened in 1:21 & had lots of folks to run with. Not saying Flanagan couldn't pop a fast time now. Obviously she could. I hope she goes for the US Master's Record but if she went out in 1:17 she prolly runs over what she did.

In Fairness Flanagan was ALWAYS better than Hasay, I know Hasay has a better Personal Best by 15-20 Seconds in the Marathon, but Flanagan was just always better.
For a while I've regretted that Hasay ended up doing the marathon. I realize that those are where the money tends to be, and she has to make decisions about how to earn a living, but this is a woman who made the OT final in the 1500m. I realize that small people tend to be "automatically" pointed toward longer and longer distances, and I certainly didn't think she'd end up in the 1500; but it seems to me that her best events would/should have been at shorter, maybe considerably shorter distances than 42.195km. Not every "distance runner" is ideally suited for a primary focus on the marathon.
Did she dedicate her run to Shelby?
I don't care what she's on. What she's doing requires insane talent to come back on so many runs like this. I'm very impressed.
Hoping I can tan at least as fast as one of Shalanes Marathon times

Same here! I'm impressed.
I have much RESPECT to Shalane. The grittiest woman on the planet in her sport. In college winning races but running until she passed out. The heart to chase records and now posting very respectful times after knee surgeries. Because she still wants to run. I would love to see her comeback for World Championships.

I'm curious what your first language is.
My first language is ghetto and then I learned English.
Who cares? I know men who work in retail or low wage full-time jobs who ran 2:30ish. 2:40 is no better than an above average hobby jogger. You talk like it is some superhuman feat but a lot of people have run these times whilst not being a pro athlete and also having to work 9-5 with a family. Tell me when she runs 2:01 or wins a world cup or something. smh.
I ran with her (SF) for a fair bit. She was so comfortable, chatting away. Certainly can go a lot quicker. And that was after a 2:46 the day before.
