To answer the question the school doesn’t really matter… a few things to think about are what facilities do they have athletic and lab and more importantly what are the opportunities to work with teams on campus or in on campus labs. Many big state schools or like someone mentioned USC have amazing facilities but are ultra competitive to get lab time or internships within the athletics department, usually only select upper class and grad students… many smaller mid major type programs or even d2 or d3 (usually better academically than d2 and sometimes d1) will give you many more opportunities to work in labs and with athletes. Springfield College comes to mind as a good choice.
