I want to improve my top end speed by doing some short sprints but I dont quite know how to balance them with weight room. Should I sprint the day before a gym workout or after or same day ? So far im thinking of having 3 sprint days consisting of 30-60m sprints and working on my olympic lifts 3X a week, one of them being a light day.

That seems overkill.
Are you a middle distance runner? Long distance runner? Or sprinter? If the former two, then you only really need one day dedicated to speed development and a session of 5-6 of those short sprints with 5- minutes rest in between will do you plenty depending on your current level and history with speed training.
Usually, lifting is done after speed workouts for the best overall benefit.
With speed development, less tends to be more.

If you are a sprinter, then usually top speed is worked on once a week still. Other days will stress block work/acceleration, general endurance, and speed endurance; with lifting/plyos usually being done on harder days right after your hardest workout.
