Nice new look at the Streakfly but it doesn't look like it will have a carbon fiber plate in it though I could be wrong

Interesting look, less foam i think
Great shoe, and perfect for road mile-10k.
Reading comments on IG from people sometimes makes me cringe. Anyone else?
Surely, the people that make these comments are not a true sample of the general public…

Definitely not a true sample, the type of people to follow and comment on these types of pages are definitely more likely to be critical etc. than the general populace.
The construction makes it the Dragonfly without spikes. It'll be interesting to see how it holds up compared to the Vaporfly. Some researchers have started claiming the carbon plate doesn't do much and that most of the mechanical advantage of the VF is in the foam. If that's true, the Streakfly should be on par. A big advantage could be that it won't affect biomechanics in the same way as a carbon plate shoe. Your foot and ankle should flex and move as it does in any normal trainer rather than having that stiff support underneath which some have said could lead to increased injuries.
The other point of this shoe is that it suits the club runner who does road and track. Rather than buying the VF and Dragonfly in order to meet track regulations, they can just buy the Streakfly.
The major thing is that it still provides the same mechanical boost as the VF. Without that, it's just another interesting shoe.
I'd be greatly interested in those studies on the foam. I bought some dragonflys and "played" with them for a workout and they were amazing. I was accustomed to the older victory spikes so feeling that foam in the spike was like a pillow and a spike mixed!! If these streakflys feel like that...I may be in love.
Unfortunately, the streakfly won't be "legal" on the track according to the WA compliance list as its stack is >25mm.
When?
This will be light than @Next?
They're not made for the track they're made for the road. Why cannibalize on your own market? The dragonfly can already satisfy the mile-10,000 on the track. They've already introduced another track spike anyways. Why have 3?
This is the real question : everybody tag the Streakfly as a 5k/10k road racing shoe, but what could be the enhancement point from the Next% to make it better for shorter race ? -> weight ! If this Streakfly is not lighter (not just 10g) than the Next%, it will be just a lightweigth trainer line anyelse we can found.
And regarding the stack high, I don’t believe the Streakfly will be lighter than 180g (honestly, if it’s lighter that 200-220g, it will already be a good surprise).
And please, if everybody could stop name it « racing flat »..

I agree its not a flat, its just a racing shoe. Not everyone can run in high stack height shoes. For some, these shoes induce injury or are slower than shoes without the "technological advances". This is why people are so hopeful for the streakfly. Even if the weight is the same as the next%, for these folks it could be a much better shoe.
The lt is supposedly a 5/10 shoe too, but guess what, shoes don't care what distances you run in them, and I use them up to the marathon because for whatever reason no one will make a racing shoe with a good fit.
i have been running in the new zoom fly 4 .. i will start stock piling because im worried no zoom fly 5 .

nike is going to nike, but a nov date would make so much more sense, though late summer/early fall would have made even more sense than that. Nike is going to nike though.
Is the concept behind these any different than the original Reebok Run Fast (i.e., a lightweight PEBAX trainer/racer)? Those were great, but they were hardly magic super shoes.
These shoes look like an upgrade from the good old zoom elite range which have been discontinued! Keeping my fingers and toes crossed for this!

The Run Fast wasn't pure Pebax, I don't think. The RF Pros were, though, and I actually did find them to be magic. Super light, but better cushioning/energy return than a normal flat. Surprisingly pretty leg-sparing in a marathon.
I think if you already have high efficiency, this kind of shoe can be as good or better than the high stack plated ones.
There’s no carbon fiber plate in the Streakfly. It’s a hard nylon shank similar to the one in the Streak LT 4. Still really looking forward to this shoe.
Cooper Teare just dropped a video where he test them out with the newbury park hs xc team.
