Maybe the soy eating vegan so-called males on this thread with all these points of running etiquette are fretting too much:
1) Don't cross a woman's finish line tape
2) Don't outsprint women over final 100m.
3) Don't race with elite group of women.
Geez, the only etiquette points men need to be concerned about while racing women, don't say anything foul mouth to a woman while racing and do not touch them.
Regarding points #1 & #2. When I was close to the winning 10K females, age 18 & 49, I did not race with group of elite women either time. I did not lurk 3 to 5 meters slower with 100m to go. When I was 18, I was 50m to 75m behind with 300m to go, at 49, 35m to 50m behind with 300m to go. That far back, just another person to outkick. Both situations, not until I say tv cameras and flashing still cameras last 25m did I realize, female competitor(s).
