I'll miss her aggressive front running.
LRC note. Here is our article on her retirement.

Too bad she couldn't run her last race knowing it was going to be her last good effort. That's got to feel bad as an athlete, having your lengthy career fizzle out without a grand finish simply from a nagging injury.
An amazing runner! So dominant for a long time. Congrats to her on an incredible career!
Keitany, a legend.
Watching her stride up 5th Avenue year after year was just a sight. Amazing
Thanks Mary.
SO many big wins, I don’t even remember half of them. A diminutive powerhouse. Even as she approaches 40 years old, she was a force to be reckoned with. Enjoy some much deserved time off.
A true legend and one of the all-time greats. Thank you for everything, Mary!
Thanks Mary Keitany for the marathon memories.
The way she attacked those marathons made them so exciting for us, the fans. And many times she saved Adidas' pride when Nike was threatening total domination. I hope Adidas and the WMM find a way to honour her in London or New York.
That is a bummer she couldn't get the treatment she needed for her back because of COVID restrictions on travel. I would have liked to see what her PB would be in supershoes.
For me, the queen of the marathon.

Mary was great. But Tegla Laroup still has dibs on Mt. Rushmore of women’s marathoning.
+1 Thanks to Mary Keitany for all the joy she brought us. She did things the right way and we will always be grateful. I wish other Kenyan runners borrow a page here. Can you imagine if Wilson Kipsang had just done this in 2019?
Always a fan. Enjoy retirement and time with your kids Mary. It’s well deserved
