I am loving the new Skechers Maxroad 5 shoe. Done a few runs compared to my Asics Novablast 1. Its more stable, slightly firmer, similar cushion levels. The skechers has more pop on toe off, the H plate mid/forefoot helps. Not quite the same level of bounce but close . I think its easier to maintain faster paces and its lighter than the Novablast 1 and close to the same fun.

No worse than a lot of other shoes, depends which colorway you get. What's important is how it performs when running in them.

Ran in gorun ver 5 and 6 . Matter of fact I had two pair or ver 6. The older meb racing flat was a good workout shoe. , then Skechers started to suck. I have some road max 5 as recovery or walking around shoes. I ordered a pair of Bondi, but was just too embarrassed to wear them.
Hyper bursting foam is too firm for my liking. Zoom fly are firm but the foam is soft. It's like the perfect woman, firm legs soft azz.
the traditional sole on novablast lasts forever. Those pods on the Skechers grind down and then the shoe is garbage. For some reason the novablast bruises my metatarsal if laced too tight. So basically jogging only shoe.
Anyway don't plan on giving Skechers another shot unless something really interesting comes along. Looks like the same deal with a new upper.
