Does anyone have any experience with this? On the lookout for a low cost treadmill that does the job.
If there are any other TMs in about the $1500 range that are better I'm happy to hear. Just wondering because of the low price point here.
My mile PR is just under 5 min so I don't really need anything past 12 MPH
Nordic tracks have terrible reputation for quality so I would be cautious. The reality is (I did tons of research)you gotta spend about $3k minimum on a treadmill if you’re a runner
Also the iFIT subscription requirement is terrible
I’ve heard of a couple elites with a NordicTrack and it has worked fine for them, but seems to be more the exception than the norm
Maybe some of the other NordicTrack models are better but the ones I looked at were junk. The company in Utah is very unethical and will most likely ship you a 500lb brick with no way to return it and missing parts etc
I also didn’t want to deal with shipping back heavy components in middle of a pandemic
Pretty sure this guy (a real runner, not a fitness model) was running a tempo on his and the thing cracked

Look for a local reseller of commercial gym equipment and pick up a commercial duty Precor. Got mine for about 1000 delivered. Years of use now, I haven’t done anything but tighten the belt despite keeping it in a perpetually damp, unairconditioned garadge that freezes in the winter.
I'm on my second NodicTrack. The first one lasted from about 1996 until about three years ago. I ran a lot on it. Months on end of 60 miles a week all on it. I also trained quite a lot for my first marathon on it with long runs up to 18 miles. I hated when you have to stop at 99 mins and reset it. Otherwise no problem. I can't fix it because there is a sensor out on it. Obviously got huge value out of it. But the bit I need to fix it is unavailable from them ebay amazon anywhere. Annoying because i think the part is under 5 bucks.
I think the new models have only speed instead of pace which I would find annoying.
Sometimes you can find great commercial grade mills on ebay or craigslist on the cheap. If you're lucky, you'll find a listing from a gym that went out of business or a school/college that is upgrading, or perhaps someone that's moving.
Pre-pandemic, I got a decent Pro-from model from WalMart.com on Black Friday for a great price with free shipping.
