ANY HELP?
because of your subject/verb agreement
many reasons
1)Too much emphasism from an early age resulting in lack if interest and burnout . Kenyans just play around and have fun .
2)S*** diet , too much empty crap like processed bread and pasta and S*** drinks like coke . the kenyans eat a wholesome diet with maize , vegetables , fruit and lean meat etc
3)They're hard not soft cocks .They don;t give up .
4)They do not have the technology like we do in the West . They entertain themselves by doing something Physical .
5)They don't drive around cars
6)They train so hard they spew up after a training session!
7)They need money for familys & friends this just motivates them to run
I belive the top 2 are the main reasons
1)Too much emphasism from early age
2)S*** DIET
I like how the first two of your points regard why americans are bad, and the rest say why kenyans are good.
are americans really bad, or are kenyans just a lot better?
mate I believe the white man can foot it with Kenyans(look at mottram)the problem is there is lack of intelligence.. to many people want short term results and youg kids 13/14 go out and run heavy miles along with severe track sessions .The kenyans gain there natural fitness subconsiously from an early age by walking , jogging , sprinting etc and despite what many people say they DON'T run high mileage at a young age , I know many coaches who have been over and observed this .the Kenyans ae ready to train when it matters in the early 20's . The White man trains hard from a young age and is not prepared for when it matters , in your 20's !!
Not sure I agree with you 100%.
I think part of the reason the Kenyans succeed is their goal orientation. Everyone is focused on running for Kenya in the Olympics - and they will train everyday to the point of exhaustion to try and get there. The younger Kenyans see what the older better runners are doing (Tergat, Komen et al) and try and imitate them. This destroys many runners, but those who survive are world beaters.
However, for this tactic to even have a small chance of success, the general population you are working with has to be very aerobically fit. The majority of Kenyans do not enjoy Western comforts, hence a more active lifestyle, hence better aerobic fitness.
What do we do if we want to imitate their success?
Develop a more active, healthier youth. We had this back in the heyday of Western distance running - now too many kids are inactive - due to video games, "unsafe" streets, academic distaction etc. A healthy aerobically fit youth is the base upon which to build on.
Second, as our youth begins to mature (ages 14-18 depending on the person) begin an intense specific running program that would last until about 20. This would center around longer runs and fast pace shorter runs (20-50 min in duration). The lactic intervals would be kept to a minimum.
Those who survived the previous training would be ready for full mileage and hard interval sessions. Then they win every distance event at the 2020 Games. Yahoo.
Too many distractions for Americans.

Ab didn't suck this year
And thats just the men.
American women have (and have had) a long list of good distance runners.
That may be true, however when is the last time a "true" american won a medal in the 1500m or 5k at big races such as the olympics and/or world championships? I think that is what the initial post is getting at. For a country that has dominance in almost every sport, we certainly have our downfalls in distance running.
