I disagree with you on the throwing events, I find the Jav. and the shot pretty exciting to watch, and also the high jump too( at a high level that is). I agree with you on the 400 hurdles, I could care less about that event.

If you agree with him, then you couldn't care less about it. In other words, your caring is at its lowest level.
most exciting events -1500, 4x4oo relay, 100, close 5k with big stars.

Have you ever heard the term "idiom"? Plenty of phrases' meanings are not made up of their component meanings.
Without question, the walks. Discuss. Hurdle races. Hate to say it, but the majority of non-distance runners would list the 10,000 as one of, if not the, most boring events.

That is true, but the phrase "couldn't care less" is not one of them. An example of an idiom would be something like "in a pickle" or "keep an eye on you." The phrase "could care less" is an incorrect version of the phrase "couldn't care less", not an idiom.

What specifically would you like us to discuss?
As a distance runner I would still say that a women's 10k at a small meet or small conference meet might be the worst thing ever. I remember when I was in college at our conference meet the women's 10k started we went back to our dorm and watched an episode of Seinfeld went back to the track and there were still a couple of runners not done yet.
Walks. Who invented that sport? Walks bring down the sport of track and field.
in other countries ,walks are fairly popular, Russia, Australia, Latin America, so US gets stuck with them.PESONALLY I HATE THEM and have never met some one who goes to a meet to see them or cares who wins.We got rid of really dumb events like 56 lb. weight throw, standing high jump, broad jump with weights. Just because they are in Olympics is no reason to include them in our national meet. BAN WALKS NOW!!!
I am a true distance runner and I love to watch the sport...however the 10k is just way to many laps to watch, unless you have a dogfight the whole way. The 10k is only somewhat interesting because I can relate to it. I also hate watching any event that I can't really relate to, like most field events (pole vault can be exciting though)
How is the 400 hurdles boring? Is it boring on a level that you can't relate to it?
400MH are for 400 runners who cant make it in flat races or 110h. Edwin Moses is a perfect example. Race itself is ok but rarely the highlight of meet even with a fast time . I know it is a hard event but is least interesting running event next to 10k . SC is also much more interesting than either but not well suited for HS .GIVE ME A GOOD MILE RACE ,indoor or out, men or women.Throwing events are for whales , not real athletes, similar to all the fat guy NFL linemen.Javelin also very dangerous and should not be allowed in HS or college. SATCH IS OUT.
Most boring: the mile/1500/1600.
Why: too long to be a good sprint, too short to be a good distance event. Dumpum.
I definitely disagree with the whole 400h being boring. I'd say least exciting are...
race walks
10,000
high jump
discuss
shotput
personally I'm not a big fan of the long jump
any relay longer than 4x4 where there isn't a close battle somewhere.
most exciting...
4x4
400
800
pole vault (at the elite level)
triple jump (elite)
1500/mile
I like the mile/1500, the 5000, the pole vault, and the 200. And of course the pole vault is awesome. I don't like the 100 or any hurdle. The steeplechase is pretty tight. I like the marathon, but I don't usually watch it start to finish, more like watching the first 5 miles, the last 5, and quick updates in the middle.

Discuss isn't an event. It's what women do at a track meet.

If the phrase "could care less" is used by the speaker to mean least amount of caring and is understood by the hearer(based on both interlocuters' shared sociolinguistic competence) to mean such, then the phrase has been used correctly.
Language forms change. Get over it.

Merrill Swain
PS - could there BE any more heats of the 60 meter dash at LSU indoor meets?!?!?! So boring.

It hasn't. So it's been used incorrectly.
"could care less" means one could care less, obviously.
